Science or Spirituality?

Which one is important: Science or Spirituality? You have two hands; which hand is more important? You have two eyes; which eye matters more? Similarly, you have an inner being and an outer being; which one is more important? The whole manifests through both the inner and outer. The whole is undivided. The Sanskrit word for this is Poorna. Science helps you understand the ‘outer world’. Spirituality helps you understand the ‘inner world’. Science enables you to know ‘that’. Spirituality helps you to know ‘this’. That is you. Science is objective and experimental. Spirituality is subjective and experiential. If you choose, you become divided. Be without choice. Be the whole. Experience wholeness. This is for those who are interested in Mathematics and equations. The outer world will be dominated by Albert Einstein's equation E = MC^2, and the inner world will be influenced by C = EM^2. This equation is mine. It is my own discovery. You can never truly understand consciousness through science because consciousness is not an object. Science is not designed to understand the subject. Science is inherently only meant to understand objects. So it is not Science or Spirituality. It is Science and Spirituality.

Working with the mind is part of science, and working on the mind is part of spirituality. In science, there is an observer. Science is observer-dependent. In spirituality, there is a witness. The ultimate reality is witness-independent. Through observation, matter appears. Through witnessing, matter disappears. This is the mystery.

Theory of Consciousness

I have my own Theory of Consciousness, which I represent mathematically as C = EM^2 (C equals EM squared). In this equation, C stands for Consciousness. E stands for Energy (Thought Energy). And M stands for the constant of Meditation or Mindfulness. It is an equation for the interconvertibility of thought and consciousness. In a silent state of the mind, we experience the cessation of thoughts. This gives us an experience of thoughtlessness, timelessness, or eternity. This experience of the cessation of thoughts (Chitta Vritti Nirodha), or a state of No-Mind, is called Consciousness. So Consciousness is the experience of the No-Mind. And this awareness is called Enlightenment. And this process of Mindfulness transforms our Thought Universe or Mind Universe into an awakening of Oneness (Non-Dual or Ekam Advitium). So the mind was acting as a medium of duality. I wish to explain this with two examples. An ocean can be in a silent or turbulent state. When the waves are chaotic, it is in a turbulent state. And when the waves are settled, it is in a silent state. When thoughts in the mind are chaotic, the mind is in a violent state. And when the chaotic thoughts are settled, the mind is in a silent state. The second example is that of raw gold becoming 24-carat gold. By passing through an acid test, raw gold becomes 24-carat gold because all the impurities are burned in the acid test. Similarly, when the violent mind passes through the process of meditation, all impurities (Vrittis) are burnt, and the mind attains an absolutely silent state (Chitta Vritti Nirodha). In my Theory of Consciousness, the Thought Energy and Consciousness are also interconvertible. And Consciousness is neither matter nor energy. And hence it can not be measured and quantified. It is not experimental. It is experiential and existential.
